About Us

David and Beth Clark began the breeding program in 1987 with Chocolate Mocha Chelsea, who was sired by Kellygreen Count Chocula; and then kept one of Chelsea’s daughters, Lady Lizette, who was sired by Charway John Brown at Kellygreen.

After Lizzie passed away, David and Beth went for a few years without a dog. David retired from full-time ministry in 2013, and they moved to their hometown, near New Castle, PA. Their granddaughter, Avery, thought they needed a dog in their new home. Beth, told Avery that she didn’t think David wanted another dog, to which Avery replied, “I’ll talk to Papa.” Shortly after that conversation, Honey Sparkle Rose joined the family.

After several wonderful litters, Honey retired, and remains the Clark’s family pet. David and Beth’s daughter, Megan, and her husband Justin Young, and their daughters, Claire and Avery, are now carrying on the breeding legacy. Their girl, Rory, had her first litter in the summer of 2025. And now they’ve added Rooney, the keeper from the Rory x Boone litter.
